Don't get me wrong, I love children and I think they are amazing but after the 7+ years of working with children, I think it's more than enough.
Babysitting isn't always so awful. Today, the girls and I made books out of paper...all day. it was rather relaxing compared to what we usually do when the Older One is home.
Babysitting is a tough gig! Odd, but people respect people who raise special dogs, more than human beings! Do the best you can and work on finding what excites you~ You are doing a great service-don't think otherwise! I use to work in a Navy Daycare...I know that feeling.

DeleteI was a nanny for 12 years. And then I had had enough. I loved it for a lot of reasons, not the least of which was that I wasn't cooped up in an office all day. But after a while, raising other people's kids and having to follow their rules just didn't appeal anymore.

It's starting to lose it's appeal for me as well. I love the girls but I have a hard time connecting with them. I think I work better with boys because I like the games they play...I've never been a doll person.
